Crazy for Coach

In an abstract contrast with my last article on Obamagic and dooming economy, here I found something apparently not affected by the rash of economy. Observation is what I do and what I like to do regardless of place, time, state, thing, subject, interest and material. In my daily commute to office my train (Metra), along with all other things I also pay attention towards bags, totes, luggage, pouches and many more visible objects. I like to see those brand names and it reveals lot for me. I see those different styles, patterns, colors, sizes and all other attributes and they are the parameters guiding me to perceive what’s new in fashion world and where the world is heading in current time line. The bag or luggage or purse or any of those similar items (lets call it FA for Fashion Accessory) really depends principally on personal choices and then on age, utility and many more other factors. Seeing a particular FA with a particular outfit on a particular person, I mean the complete package makes my cerebellum think in creative way. My mind wanders in questions like what if she has different color bag. What if he was carrying some other FA instead of this? Will that FA suits more on this living object more than what it bears now? and blah blah blah.. it makes me think, think and think.

Recently I observed that at least 50% bags women carry in my metra car (bogie) are branded as ‘Coach’. The percentage is very likely to increase if I observe more carefully on some other unidentified bags. Coach the leading brand name in bags and fashion accessories has unique patterns in their products and some of them can be easily traced as Coach products with their designs displaying typical capital ‘C‘ quite similar in ‘Wide Latin’ font. (Normally most of the companies and organization don’t use the font which is commonly available in our Microsoft Word, some kind of branding I guess.. with an exception of ‘Papyrus’ font which I found more often. Yes seeing at some script mostly I can determine which font it is or at least closely related font). Coach has wide varieties of FA in sizes, shapes, colors and patterns but two things common to all without an immunity is their HIGH prices and the craze amongst the people. Whenever I visited shopping malls, I have never seen Coach store without customers but in fact mostly I have seen, long queues of buyers (or potential buyers) outside their glossy glass doors eagerly waiting to enter in and the store salesman trying to manage the crowd. It looks like every day is like Thanks giving sale at Coach Store. At first I thought they are giving huge discounts and hence people are cashing the opportunity but seeing the same picture quite often made me curious. One of my friends got the bag from Coach and it was $300 including tax. $300 for a bag? I thought if I buy that bag, damn I will be left with no money to keep in that.

My curiosity brought me to browse official website of Coach bags (http://www.coach.com/default.aspx) and I found prices which were quite difficult to digest (and I am still trying). The society’s live pull for such luxurious and deluxe fashion accessory is really crazy in my view. Fashion statement is really inexplicable and always has been mysterious. Found in 1941 in New York, Coach Business was inspired by a worn leather baseball glove. They found their fortune in leather and since then they grew exponentially. Looking at the company’s growth time line I can say that at each milestone they have only achieved and never loosed anything. In this stringent financial situation too the symbol is still shining bright simply because of their quality, style, comfort zones and innumerable reasons. Their craftsmen and the workforce is kind of Gem. Coach has wide range of products including bags, totes, sunglasses, jackets, business accessories, shoes, wallets, belts and several to follow the list with all pricey tags on them.
Paris is considered as mother land of fashion with all the fashion glam shows featuring from there and Milan. I wonder there must be many more brands around the globe with higher figures on price tags than that of Coach. Open your eyes widen them and always look around what world has new to offer.

Did anyone whispered that world economy is shrinking?
