Its 4:30 AM, the time I have rarely seen with my open eyes; often enjoying in deep sleep in cozy warm blanket. Today is something different and reminded me of those days in schools where we used to go for trips and picnics. I could hardly sleep a night before the tour. It was all excitement which would bring zillions of butterflies in my stomach and I used to get up before I sleep… Since I have a little time to get ready and get started to march over the capital, Washington DC, I am scribing this one.
Its almost 12 hrs drive from here and we decided to start at 6 AM (considering the lag as we estimate since we follow Indian standard timings). Drive is through Pittsburgh and according to our plan we will have our lunch in the famous temple there. We will be crossing borders of many states. Since I am travelling with another friend and his family it will be super fun to drive along together in van. When alarm buzzed at 4:00 AM, I thought it’s a mistake and why I kept alarm at 4:00? Crazy me? It took me around 5 minutes to come alive in world of reality and I got up. So yes that’s the change from school days and my today’s life where I used to wake up before the clock… anyways, lot many things changes over time as they say ‘Nothing stays constant, but the change’ or something like that. (On another note: I think in recent history if someone has utilized the word ‘The change’ copiously is Mr. Obama.. no matter we are yet to witness it…. Is that a reason I am marching towards DC??? No way… Let everyone manage their own worries.)
Since bags were packed at night only, now I just have to freshen myself and drive to my friend’s place. Considering this warm weather we are all geared up with summer costumes and stuff and not to mention my all weather companion… my camera. It’s beautiful morning and now I am thinking what’s more pleasant; the cold breeze through my bedroom window or the chirping birds outside who woke up without any alarm? I heard this sound after years and still ear pleasing.
Whole day I will be on road. Hope to write more about this trip.
See you when I see you
