Mercury Sable Sedan: My first car!!! In US you must have a car and without it you are just handicapped. I was living in Aurora/Naperville/Lisle and since these are suburbs of Chicago, there is no proper public transport. I bought this car to roam around. Dream to have a Sexy sports car ....

Frozen valley!!!

This was clicked from car window as I couldn't dare to walk through this shivering cold. This river was almost freezed and developed a thick layer of ice on it. You can see white lining on trees, this is snow carried away by wind and thats the reason why chicago is called 'Windy City'.

Snow white everywhere

Dec 01 2006: This was the first time I saw snow in my life and that too was so heavy that I enjoyed holiday working from home. It was 12" of snow and almost schools were closed. This pic is from the colony where I live in Aurora.

Lemont Temple

Half part of temple is built in red stones and will help you recollect memories of temples in India. The white snow and red-yellow stone temple was perferct contrast for this snap.

Forgot to mention one important thing. The hot pongal rice and sambaar you get here is simply mouth watering. Never miss this if you ever visit this place. Or should I say you must visit this place to devour this feast.. Yummy!!!

The Hindu temple of greater Chicago

I never imagined that there will be so many temples in US. Really beautiful temples. This one is a temple with all gods and hence called Hindu temple of greater Chicago.
I asked my buddy to drop me here so that I can click some snaps and then come to temple.

This complex includes two separate temples:
The Rama Temple, which includes Sri Rama, Sita and Lakshmana; Lord Ganesha, Sri Hanuman, Lord Venkateshwara (Balaji), Mahalakshmi, Sri Krishna and Radha.

The Ganesha-Shiva-Durga Temple, which includes, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Durga Devi, Lord Subrahmanya, Devi Parvathi, and Navagraha.
